In the production process of LED products, everyone will more or less encounter welding problems of some LED products. Poor welding will affect the quality of the entire LED product. I. Precautions for LED reflow soldering conditions:
 
1. Reflow soldering is only allowed to be done once;
 
2. Do not squeeze the heat sink after the reflow soldering is completed;
 
3. If there is a solder paste with a relatively low melting point, the temperature can be appropriately lowered;
 
4. Before using the reflow oven, use a temperature measuring instrument to measure whether the temperature of each temperature zone of the reflow oven is consistent and uniform;
 
5. Regardless of how to set the recommended temperature curve for SMD lead-free reflow soldering, the maximum temperature should not exceed 10 seconds at 260°C, and should not exceed 60 seconds at 220°C, otherwise the LED products may fail under high temperature;
 
6. Different types of SMD products should have different peak temperature settings. Generally, the larger the size of the same category, the greater the stress release and the relatively weaker high temperature resistance.
 
II. LED lamp reflow soldering temperature and time control
 
1. After the LED reflow soldering temperature curve is adjusted, it must be confirmed after the first board to do various quality confirmations before it can be mass-produced. This is the first confirmation work in the factory quality management;
 
2. LED reflow soldering must read the factory specifications of the LED lamp beads before doing the soldering work, and see its various technical parameters;
 
a. It depends on the temperature resistance of the LED lamp bead packaging material;
 
b. It depends on what material the LED welding base material is, such as general PCB (fiber board, etc.), aluminum substrate, ceramic board, etc.;
 
c. It depends on whether the solder is high temperature or low temperature solder paste, or resin, etc.;
 
d. According to the actual quality of the LED reflow soldering equipment, look at the number of temperature zones of the LED reflow soldering, the control of the pole flow rate, the fan, and the temperature setting of each zone.
 
3. Reference of general adjustment parameters of LED lamp beads after LED reflow soldering;
 
The lowest temperature is 150-170 degrees, the highest temperature is best 240-245 degrees (the highest temperature can be adjusted to 260, if 245 degrees can melt tin, do not adjust to 260), the time above 220 degrees can not exceed 60 seconds, If the temperature is increased, the time of 260 degrees cannot exceed 10 seconds. If it is 7 temperature zones, you can refer to the following settings: 160, 170, 175, 180, 190, 210, 245, 220. If the LED lamp bead is a silicone lens, you can use BI58SN42 solder paste, the maximum temperature is 225 degrees Celsius. If it is a PC lens, reflow soldering cannot be used.
